The Bible distinguishes between the "inner man" and the "outer man." The spirit of our being is the inner man, while the outer man is what is generally perceived by others.
All servants of Christ need to learn a fundamental lesson—to allow the Lord to break the outer man so that the spirit within can be released. Just as a grain of wheat must fall to the ground and die, its outer shell must crack open for the seed to grow, so too, the precious ointment in a costly alabaster jar cannot be released unless the jar is broken.
Today, the Lord desires that in those of us who belong to Him, there would be a way of blessing, so that His work may go forth and the world can receive God's grace through us.
